The time you try login to the VPS<\/strong><\/a> from the node it shows error below.<\/p>\n

Unable to open pty: No such file or directory<\/strong><\/p>\n

If you even try to access the VPS, via SSH, it will show error below<\/span><\/p>\n

PTY allocation request failed on channel 0<\/strong><\/p>\n

To fix this issue there are 2 alternatives. Use any one which suits you. Perform the commands below as root on your main node. <\/span><\/p>\n

Solution 1<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

vzctl exec veid \/sbin\/MAKEDEV pty
\nvzctl exec veid \/sbin\/MAKEDEV tty
\nvzctl enter veid<\/p>\n

Once set, use commands below.<\/p>\n

vzctl enter VEID
\nrpm -qa | grep -i udev
\nrpm -qf \/etc\/udev\/makedev.d\/50-udev.nodes
\nrpm -e –nodeps udev-095-14.9.el5<\/p>\n

Solution 2<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

Login to your main node and access file<\/span><\/p>\n

\/vz\/private\/VEID\/etc\/rc.sysinit<\/span><\/p>\n

Find for start_udev, below this line add <\/span><\/p>\n

\/sbin\/MAKEDEV tty
\n\/sbin\/MAKEDEV pty<\/p>\n
