It will also display a warning message: &#8220;<em>SSL is not enabled for this domain<\/em>&#8221; and to fix it, you&#8217;ll have to reenable SSL.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-13551\" src=\"https:\/\/www.milesweb.in\/hosting-faqs\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/10\/da_ssl_not_enabled_censored.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"1279\" height=\"680\" \/><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>DirectAdmin removed the option to reenable SSL for a domain from its interface as of August 2021.\u00a0This is why it&#8217;s impossible to reinstate the SSL unless you have root access to the server.<\/p>\n<h2>To Reenable SSL<\/h2>\n<p>1. Edit the file:<\/p>\n<pre class=\"font-size:15 lang:default decode:true\">\/usr\/local\/directadmin\/data\/users\/USERNAME\/domains\/DOMAIN.TLD.conf<\/pre>\n<p>2. Find the ssl option, which will look like this:<\/p>\n<pre class=\"font-size:15 lang:default decode:true\">ssl=OFF<\/pre>\n<p>3. Reedit the option as:<\/p>\n<pre class=\"font-size:15 lang:default decode:true \">ssl=ON<\/pre>\n<p>It will reenable the\u00a0SSL for the registered\u00a0DirectAdmin domain.<\/p>\n<p>With it, users can now access the <strong>SSL Certificates<\/strong> option in the DirectAdmin interface and make relevant configurations.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>There are times when you have to disable the SSL certificate for a website.
