When your domain name<\/a> is registered with Namecheap, it\u2019s important to manage its DNS records (A, CNAME, MX, TXT, etc.) for directing your website, email, as well as other services. Managing DNS Records on Namecheap<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

In this section, guiding from broad navigation points towards within the account, focused instructions will be divided into distinct steps, ensuring adherence to the Learn-Do methodology. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Step 1: Accessing The Domain Settings\u00a0<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

  1. Sign in to your Namecheap Account using this link (add a hyperlink).<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  2. On the left side of the screen, select \u201cDomain List.\u201d <\/li>\n\n\n\n
  3. Click on the button marked \u201cMANAGE\u201d beside your domain.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  4. Then the “Advanced DNS” tab will appear; click on it and you are done!<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n

    Step 2: Place a New DNS Entry\u00a0<\/h3>\n\n\n\n
      \n
    1. On the Advanced DNS tab, there should be a section labeled \u201cHost Records.\u201d<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    2. Click on \u201cADD NEW RECORD.\u201d <\/li>\n\n\n\n
    3. Choose a Record Type like A or MX.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    4. Complete the Host Value and TTL fields.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    5. Finally, save by clicking the checkmark icon.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n

      Step 3: Change in Existing DNS Record<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

      1. Now Locate the relevant record within “Host Records” that you want to edit.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
      2. To apply changes, use the pencil icon directly next to the selected record.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
      3. Press the checkmark icon to confirm your changes.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n

        Step 4: Removing a DNS Record<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

        1. Search for the one you’d like to delete from your list of “Host Records.”<\/li>\n\n\n\n
        2. Click on the trash can icon next to it.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
        3. Verify deletion when asked and it will be removed!<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n
