Steps to Change WordPress Username with Username Changer Plugin<\/strong><\/h3>\n

One of the easiest ways to change your WordPress username is with the help of a free plugin called \u201cUsername Changer\u201d.<\/strong><\/p>\n

You have to install and activate this plugin. Next step is go to Users ===> Your Profile<\/strong>. Next to your username, you will get the option to Change Username.<\/strong><\/p>\n

After clicking on that link, you\u2019ll get an alternative to enter a new username.<\/strong> After mentioning the new username, just click<\/strong> on Save Username<\/strong> to make it live globally.<\/p>\n

After saving the new username, you will get a message informing that username is saved successfully.<\/strong> For confirmation, you can log in<\/strong> again using your new username and the password will be the same.<\/p>\n

If you\u2019re using multiple usernames on your WordPress blog, then, in Setting ===> Username Changer,<\/strong> you can use the same plugin and follow same steps to change the username.<\/p>\n

Steps to Change WordPress Username by Creating\/Deleting Accounts<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Here, you have to follow three steps to change the username and those steps are:<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u2022 First, you have to create a new username
\n\u2022 After that transfer old username authorship to your new username
\n\u2022 Finally, you have to delete your old username<\/p>\n

Step 1: First, you have to create a new username<\/strong><\/h3>\n

If you\u2019re a WordPress user then you have the right to create a new username. For this, you have to go to Users ===> Add New<\/strong> and create a new user.<\/p>\n

Enter the name as per your demand in the username box and make sure you have set the administrator role to this account. This is applicable, when you are changing another user\u2019s username.<\/p>\n

As of now, you won\u2019t be able to use the same email as your existing account. But, you can update it after deleting your original account in the next step.<\/p>\n

Step 2: Delete Old Username<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Once you have logged in<\/strong> then go to the user’s tab in your WordPress dashboard and delete the old username.<\/p>\n

Very Important:<\/strong> In this step, you can directly edit your WordPress website\u2019s database. So, it\u2019s suggested to do it carefully, unless you feel comfortable working with phpMyAdmin.<\/div>\n

Further, it\u2019s suggested to take back up of your database before doing the changes. If your WordPress blog is hosted on MilesWeb server then make sure you\u2019ve taken the backup of the database from Backup Manager OR phpMyadmin.<\/p>\n
