In order to download or upload files user uses an FTP client to connect to an FTP server.<\/p>\n<p>Major operating systems accommodate many FTP clients on them. There are also standalone FTP clients, such as FileZilla and most of the web browsers have integrated FTP functionality. Or you can directly click on the\u00a0\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.milesweb.in\/hosting-faqs\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/07\/FTP-Plesk-5-min.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-7598\" src=\"https:\/\/www.milesweb.in\/hosting-faqs\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/07\/FTP-Plesk-5-min.png\" alt=\"FTP Plesk 5\" width=\"26\" height=\"26\" \/><\/a> icon, and then select the directory.<\/p>\n<p>7) In the text box for <strong>New Password<\/strong>, enter your account password.<\/p>\n<p>8) Now re-type the password in <strong>Confirm Password<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>9) Type the maximum amount (in megabytes) of disk space that the account you use in the text box for Hard disk quota.<\/p>\n<p>10) Specify the permissions for the account under the Permissions :<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 In order to enable read permissions, select the Read permission checkbox.<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 To enable write permissions, select the Write permission checkbox.<\/p>\n<p>11) Click on <strong>OK<\/strong>. Plesk will create the account.<\/p>\n<h2># Steps to Modify an FTP Account<\/h2>\n<p>You can change the settings for an existing FTP account and also it is a good practice to regularly change the password for your FTP account. Let&#8217;s see how you can do this :<\/p>\n<p>Follow these steps to modify an FTP account &#8211;<\/p>\n<p>1. Log in to Plesk.<\/p>\n<p>2. In the left sidebar, click on Websites &amp; Domains.<\/p>\n<p>3. Locate the domain for which you want to modify an account, and then click on FTP Access.<\/p>\n<p>4. On the <strong>FTP Accounts<\/strong> page, click on the name of the account that you want to modify.<\/p>\n<p>5. <strong>Type New Password<\/strong> and <strong>Confirm Password<\/strong> in the text boxes provided.<\/p>\n<p>6. Click on <strong>OK<\/strong>. Plesk will save the changes made in the account.<\/p>\n<h2># Steps to delete an FTP account<\/h2>\n<p>1. Log in to Plesk.<\/p>\n<p>2. In the left sidebar, click on the Websites &amp; Domains.<\/p>\n<p>3. Locate the domain for which you want to delete an account, and then click on <strong>FTP Access<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>4.
