Dropmysite can automatically configure a website backup for your account. There is no need for any additional configuration, though you can create customized site backups if you want.<\/p>\n
(ii) Database backups :<\/strong><\/p>\n Dropmysite can automatically configure backups for any MySQL and PostgreSQL databases that you create through cPanel.<\/p>\n But, if you install an application using Softaculous, or even if you auto-install an application with your initial hosting order, you will need to configure a database backup manually.<\/p>\n (iii) Email backups :<\/strong><\/p>\n When you purchase Dropmysite with your hosting order, then Dropmysite automatically configures an e-mail backup for your account. No additional configuration will be required.<\/p>\n Website backups –<\/strong><\/p>\n Automatic configuration of backup (called Website Backup) is taken by Dropmysite for entire home directory, that’s why you normally don’t need to create a manual website backup. Log in to cPanel<\/strong> account.<\/p>\n 2. Locate SOFTWARE<\/strong> section on the cPanel home screen and click on Dropmysite<\/strong>.<\/p>\n Now, Dropmysite dashboard<\/strong> will appear :<\/p>\n 3. Click on the Add Website<\/strong>\u00a0 4. Specify the site settings on the Connection Details page :<\/p>\n \u2022 In the list box for Protocol<\/strong>, select SFTP-SSH File Transfer Protocol<\/strong>.<\/p>\n \u2022 You can use a password or public key authentication. Select the Public Key authentication<\/strong> checkbox.<\/p>\n \u2022 In the text box for Directory Path<\/strong>, you can optionally specify a path in your home directory.<\/p>\n \u2022 In the text box for Port<\/strong>, type 7822<\/strong>.<\/p>\n \u2022 In the text box for Host name<\/strong>, type the name of the MilesWeb Hosting server for your account.<\/p>\n \u2022 In the text box for User name<\/strong>, type your MilesWeb Hosting account username.<\/p>\n \u2022 In case you are using password authentication<\/strong>, then in the Password<\/strong> text box, type your MilesWeb Hosting account password. And if you are using public key authentication then leave the Password text box empty.<\/p>\n 5. Click on Next<\/strong>. Dropmysite will test the connection using the values provided by you.<\/p>\n 6. Once the connection test is successful, the Schedule Backup page will appear :<\/p>\n \u2022 Go to the Directories<\/strong> section and select the subdirectories<\/strong> you want to include in the backup.<\/p>\n \u2022 Go to the Exclusions<\/strong> sections and select files<\/strong> or directories<\/strong> that are not included in the backup. To add an exclusion, type the filename or directory, and then press Enter.<\/p>\n \u2022 Go to the Retention<\/strong> list box and select how many backups of the site you want to keep at one time.<\/p>\n \u2022 Go to the Frequency<\/strong> list box and select how often do you want Dropmysite to take a backup of the website.<\/p>\n \u2022 Go to the Start time<\/strong> list box and select the time zone for your geographic location.<\/p>\n 7. Click on Next.<\/p>\n 8. On the page for Save Profile<\/strong>, in the Profile Name<\/strong> text box, type a name for the website backup. You can give any name of your choice.<\/p>\n 9. Click on Save<\/strong>. The website backup will now be configured and active.<\/p>\n Dropmysite is able to back up MySQL and PostgreSQL databases.<\/p>\n Perform the following steps to manage database backups :<\/p>\n 1.
