Softaculous allows you to create/restore/download backup from the user friendly web interface. Follow the below steps to download the backup from web browser
- Login to cPanel, go to Software/Services tab and click on Softaculous
- Click on the “Backups and Restore” option, it’s on the top right corner menu, the icon looks like a zipped folder
- You will see the list of all backups which you had previously created
- To download the backup click on the first blue arrow icon
If the backup file size is small it will be downloaded quickly but sometimes the backup can not be downloaded through the web browser, if the data size is bigger. To download the backup, we recommend to use FTP client. Connect to FTP client, go to softaculous_backups folder. You will get the list of available backups and you can download it on your local machine.
