If you are working with MediaWiki, you can easily modify the privileges of the existing users. Follow the steps mentioned below for modifying the user privileges:
- Login as Admin and go to ‘Special Pages’
- Under the option ‘Restricted special pages’, click on ‘User rights management’
- Enter the username that you would like to modify and click on the option ‘Edit User Groups’
- Select the rights that you want from the ones mentioned in ‘Available groups’
- Click on ‘Save User Groups’
